Why You Need To Watch 'The Office' and 'Parks And Rec'
The Best TV Shows of All Time
(aka TV shows that I really really really enjoyed and you will too if you have even little good taste)
Episode 1; The Office
Since the summer is just beginning, at least for me, and I have to at least try to do something productive with myself I decided why not try to actually do something about creating awareness about some tv shows that I watch and none of my friends have ever bothered to watch since they think that it probably isn't worth it. And I know you guys are busy and have a lot of work, but if you do end up having an especially bad week or just need to relax for 22 minutes a day, some of these tv shows can give you that. Either that or you could just binge all of them in a single day (which isn't really possible for shows like 'The Office' since it has 9 seasons, but still) I pretty much binged on most of these shows and I still love them.
So it is your call.
I am also planning to do something other than just listing off my favorite movies and TV shows this month, hopefully, I can get some other written work out in public. I am thinking of pasting the first page of my book on this and see how you guys respond and hence whether I should move on with that project or not.
So without any further wait, here are the TV shows that you should watch because they are amazing and easily accessible (if you have Prime or Netflix or even Hotstar)

The Office (2005-2013)
The Office (US) is the best TV show of all time and I don't mean that just from my perspective, it is a fact that the Office is the greatest TV show of all time.
If you haven't ever heard of The Office, let me sum it up for you in a simple sentence, it is a mockumentary, in this case, about a paper company called Dunder Mifflin, revolves around the crazy things and situations that the regional manager Michael Scott does and gets himself into (respectively).
I was extremely hesitant to watch this, I really really hated it when I watched it for the first time in 2015 and then when I was going through one such list of the best TV shows of all time I spotted The Office being in the top 5. I didn't really believe them since I didn't really like the first season at all. However, after really fighting myself, I finally decided to watch the second season and to be honest it was one of the best things that I had experienced in my entire life.
The Comedy, the Characters, the story, it all was so magically written and executed in such perfection that no other show has ever really matched it for me. I know the seasons after the seventh one were pretty alright but I still classify this show as one of the best shows of our era.
I really do think that this show provides the kind of comfort and nostalgic feeling that you might require, even though I don't really have a reason to be nostalgic since it has only been a single year since I had first watched it but it is still able to make me feel sad and happy in ways no other TV show has ever been able to do. Whenever I hear the opening theme, all my stress just melts away and I feel like I have been blanketed in a safe, comfortable, and reassuring haven. I feel at home when I watch the Office.
The Characters
This show allows you to meet some of the best characters ever, each of these characters at first feel like some classic archetypes that most people meet when they join an Office, but they slowly develop as you watch the series and you start to really root for these characters. whether it is Michael Scott the regional manager who believes himself to be the best boss and has no sense or perception of reality or how he actually comes off in front of his employees or Jim Halpert, your everyday guy who is really smug and does mediocre work. Dwight Schrute your average kiss ass who sucks up to the boss and is also living in a sense of weird world where he believes himself to be someone respected. Pam Beesly your next door girl who in this case is a receptionist and so io and so forth.
The point is that these archetypes eventually transform into amazing characters you end up rooting for even if you don't want to.

The Setting and Humor
The comedy in the office is much more easy to digest as compared to the kind of hunour present in the much more serious and dark version of the office (the UK version)
There are really easy to take in and are really bingable. You will find yourself getting absorbed in the lives of these two or three people along with the rest of Dunder Mifflin.
The humor isn't as depression inducing as the UK version and yet there are lots of moments filled with cringe and laugh.
This show will truly take you on an emotional trip which you'll rewatch the moment it finishes.
The Romance
It would be an understatement if I say that the office gave us one of the best (will they won't they) couple in TV history.
I'd Say the show is worth watching only to see what happens to Jim and Pam. Do they eventually end up together or does Pam finally marry her fiancé Roy?
You will be thrilled, broken, saddened and made happy as you watch this beautiful simple romance story.
Dwight Schrute
Dwight Schrute is a legendary character, on par with characters like Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation and Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99.
He is absolutely iconic and has the best character development over the 9 or so seasons of this show.
Jim Pranks Dwight Schrute
Now that we have discussed Dwight Schrute we should discuss the arch nemesis Jim Halpert. These two are pretty much what make this show as amazingly good as it is. Through out the seasons Jim Pranks Dwight and gets him in situations like making him believe that the computer has become sentient or the CIA works with him and so on.. I'll skip the best ones so you can see for yourself.
Michael Scott
Michael Scott is the epitome of a cringe character. A boss who has no idea of how his co-workers perceive him to be. He is probably the worst of all of us yet at the same time the best. He is sympathetic, he really cares about his co-workers and is really honest to his work.
He is due to his unaware nature able to get himself in stupid situations which are massively entertaining to watch.
He probably is the soul of this show, along with the other three main characters.
Final verdict
This show was a,
9/10 for me, the only complaint are the last two seasons or at least the ninth one which shouldn't frankly exist except for the finale episode which was super good.
You gotta watch it Aashi.. You have to!
Until next episode, this was Sam and you were on Aayush's blog
Bye and good night
