Covering a Topic Episode 1: Biased Olympics

The Dilemma of Caster Semenya’s Participation/categorization Disclaimer: as a blogger, when I try to talk about a topic. I do it to not only enhance my knowledge on the subject but to also understand and be empathetic towards all viewpoints and perspectives, I have tried to be completely unbiased while presenting the facts on whether Caster Semenya should be allowed to participate in these athletic events. Caster Semenya , an athlete who has shined as a beacon of hope and idolization despite all the controversy that she is constantly wrapped in, had this to say about the challenges that she had to face just in order to compete in something that she holds immensely dear, “I am Mokgadi Caster Semenya. I am a woman and I am fast. You try to be in front of me, I jump you, I keep running.” I would also like to add that “gender” would be used to refer to the way she identifies herself, whereas the term “sex” would be used to discuss about the biological aspects of her identification

A Poem- 3

The Darkness Descends Darkness descends upon us Instead of days of light Winds getting stronger Barely any sunlight Soon the lamented destruction would yield its results As mankind would pay for the its sins and avarice Forgetting about religion and caste Mankind would fall to the nature aghast Floods would strike and rains would storm As man falters before the mighty night Darkness descends upon us faster each fortnight Fear in big men and leaders alike The end draws near, within our sights Man could try to flee and run But the ravages of past wouldn't squander As nature would yield its own justice And the Darkness would descend So heed the warning and prolong your life Save your planet and prioritize For men may (soon end to) come and go But the nature will (continue to) flourish forever

Thoughts On Things Episode IV

Thoughts On Things Episode IV: Rambling  The Death Of Passion Reading I miss reading books. Its not like I don't read them anymore, but I can't deny the fact that internet has changed my perception of entertainment, and back when books were the only way for me to connect to the world, it was all I did. A chubby little kid in the corner with a book in his hand wasn't a cliche until I had done it. Obviously I was a nerd, after all, this is a blog, which is also based on the idea of reading things from a screen, though in this case it isn't parchment but instead an LCD,OLED or whatever old type of screen you're reading this from . Moving on, It was 3rd grade I think, when my parents started to be aware of my strange condition. They found it to be amazing.  Why not? After all, reading books was considered much more 'intellectual' and smart as compared to watching the television or even playing outside the house. I would often hear my mother brag

Technology and Its Impact On Global Economy

Technology and Its Impact On Global Economy The following is a work based thing, which means it was part of something at school and since I write best when I am on Blogger, I thought why not write this over here. Enjoy me writing about the impact of technology on the global economy: Positive edition. We live in the era of the most rapid growth of technology, it is believed that we have made more technological developments in the past 10 years as compared to the amount of development mankind had ever made in the previous centuries. We are growing at such a rate that it seems almost impractical to believe that we can develop further. I mean what is the limit? Flying cars? robot servants? a sustainable model of fuel? at what point can we be able to consider ourselves as living in the ultimate future? Positive Effects of Technology on the global economy. Technology has had a very positive impact on the global economy, though we could argue otherwise as well, first let us

Spider-Man Far From Home Review (2019)

Spider-Man Far From Home 🕷️ (2019) Disclaimer: Will discuss spoilers at the very end of the review The Story The  The Story takes place in 2023 much more further into the future and it directly addresses the events of Endgame which are obviously going to have a lot of impact on where the stories going further. the movie starts with an emotional tribute to all of the heroes who died in endgame it is truly a loving and heartwarming tribute after the mess that Endgame left us in it was truly appreciated. Obviously the movie is much light hearted compared to Endgame and deals with different issues. Sidenote: they handle the occurrence and the impact of the snap (which they call 'The blip') pretty well, you'll see. It mostly takes place in Europe as Peter and his friends are in vacation, despite that Peter is recruited by Nick Fury for a task which could be of as high stakes as other Avenger movies. Here Peter gets to know about the elementals which are l

Thoughts On Things EP 2

Thoughts on Things Ep 2 11:01 PM Tuesday Of 18 June Human emotions are so hard to account some times, they are hard to control or make work through. Some decisions made don't really feel like they should have been made and reality often fails to align with expectations. I feel that what makes us human are these emotions of sadness and bitterness, the only cruel or negative thing that actually exists is not embracing these feelings, not realising them or accepting their existence but instead just continuing to repress them. That is the bigger problem. I think letting emotions out and wild has become a stigma at this point in time, we after all live in a time and place where the reality of situations are often diluted through the lens of social media and constant communication. Every post, every comment, every status update all are scrutinized heavily by the masses especially if you're someone in the lime light. Funny thing isn't it, some desire f

My 'Life Changing Trip'

My Visit To Vrindavan I have for a while been amazed and sometimes a little scared of how much faith people can have in their beliefs. During my trip to Vrindavan, I saw sights that I think were just absolutely strange to me. I am not a religious person, if you don't know me, I do believe that there probably is something out there, someone who controls the grand scheme of things, but not in the manner that most conservative hindus or muslims or christians believe in. So when my religious family took me over to the city of Vrindavan, native to Lord Krishna, I was not exactly enthralled as the trip made me question a lot of things and just because I was having these questions take refuge in my mind it didn't mean that I was allowed to ask them as elders often have the habit of shushing logic in the fore front of religious ideologies and arguing only results in resentment so I kept to myself and didn't really try to ask things or question beliefs.  I walked the gulli

Why You Need To Watch 'The Office' and 'Parks And Rec'

Image
The Best TV Shows of All Time (aka TV shows that I really really really enjoyed and you will too if you have even little good taste) Episode 1; The Office Since the summer is just beginning, at least for me, and I have to at least try to do something productive with myself I decided why not try to actually do something about creating awareness about some tv shows that I watch and none of my friends have ever bothered to watch since they think that it probably isn't worth it. And I know you guys are busy and have a lot of work, but if you do end up having an especially bad week or just need to relax for 22 minutes a day, some of these tv shows can give you that. Either that or you could just binge all of them in a single day (which isn't really possible for shows like 'The Office' since it has 9 seasons, but still) I pretty much binged on most of these shows and I still love them. So it is your call. I am also planning to do something other than just listing

Shazam (2019)

Image
Shazam Review  After much consideration whether I should descend from my Marvel tower over to DC's Extended Universe, I decided to give Shazam a go. Fun Fact, this is the first ever DC film that I have watched in theater, the rest of DCEU that I have watched is only from the streaming services such as Amazon Prime and Netflix. The State Of The DCEU The DC films aren't really regarded as top cinema, most people like to hate on DC since it is easier to do so compared to Marvel but not us (props if you got that reference). The previous DC film, which was James Wan's Aquaman, starring the always hot Jason Mamoa, was alright. I didn't especially consider it to be a very good film, definitely not as good as James Wan's previous works, but then again he can't be blamed for the horrible dialog and script that was provided. Aquaman was one too many odd song choices and script away from being a pretty good comeback for the struggling DC universe (atleast crit

Thoughts On Movies 1: The Upcoming Avengers Endgame & Spiderman

Thoughts On Movies Episode 1;  Marvel's AVENGERS ENDGAME  4:59 pm Friday 29/03/2019 So, We are less than half a month away from watching the Avenger's Endgame, probably everyone's most anticipated movie of 2019 is almost here, I mean I can almost touch it we're that close, and I haven't really talked to many people about what I felt about how Avengers Infinity War ended with the defeat of our heroes and most of them getting dusted away. I mean when I was gonna watch it, I already knew that some of the heroes were gonna die and Thanos was gonna win, but despite having the movie spoiled for me, when it finally happened, it was a total gut punch. I mean, I did not see that coming at all.  But then again, this was supposed to be part 1 of the culmination of almost 20 years of work, so nothing less should've been expected. It was sad but not enough that I would cry, but seeing Marvel subvert expectations was a good chance of Pace. Way better than
